MENTORSHIP CELL MERGER

On April 15, Sylvain Perron, president of the Chambre de commerce Haute-Yamaska et région (Haute-Yamaska and region board of trade), and Sylvain Fausse, head mentor for the cellule de Mentorat pour entrepreneurs et intrapreneurs Granby et region, jointly announced the merger of their mentorship cells.

Following this merger, the cellule de Mentorat pour entrepreneurs et intrapreneurs Granby et région will now boast over 35 volunteer mentors with a rich experience and expertise to offer current and future mentees.

For several reasons, a single mentorship outlet remains the simplest and most efficient solution for those wanting to join it. “The most important thing for us at the board of trade is that our members can continue to access the mentorship. As a mentor, I believe that all entrepreneurs should join it,” states Sylvain Perron, president of the Chambre de commerce Haute-Yamaska et région.

The board of trade will continue to promote mentorship in its relations with its members in partnership with the cellule de mentorat Granby et région, which will provide the coaching service with the support of the organization leading the initiative—the CAE Haute-Yamaska et région.

“We are pleased with this merger, as our goal remains the same: to promote and develop our region’s economy,” states Sylvain Fausse, the cell’s head mentor. The success of entrepreneurs’ and intrapreneurs’ businesses is still what drives us. In addition, our association with the Réseau M of the fondation de l’entrepreneurship du Québec is an important reference and serves as the structure for our mentorship.

“In addition, we are gaining another partner, which is known in its area, to support us in the promotion of mentorship for entrepreneurs,” adds Mr. Fausse.

Several studies show that entrepreneurship will be essential in Quebec in the next few years to maintain a viable economy, hence the importance of helping entrepreneurs develop their inter-personal skills.
